Alum/Steel Rivet

The AS4-1 aluminium/steel blind rivet is a dome-head rivet with 3.2 mm body diameter (1/8 inch) and short shell length, designed for fastening thin sheet or panel materials where a neat dome-head finish is required.

Key features

• Zinc-plated steel mandrel and aluminium rivet body for corrosion resistance and strength.
• Dome-head rivet for a clean external finish once installed.
• Grip range of 0.5–1.6 mm (suitable for thin materials) when used with correct shell length.
• Shear strength ~530 N, tensile strength ~670 N (as per supplier spec table for this rivet type).

Common uses

Light duty sheet-metal assembly, gutter or cladding work, ductwork, signage, light fabrications or other thin-sheet fastening where only one-side access is possible and a neat dome head finish is desired.
