Hardwood F14 sawn unseasoned treated timber in 50 x 38mm is a structural-grade member supplied green (not kiln-dried) and preservative treated for general construction use. The F14 stress grade suits framing and load-bearing applications where hardwood strength is required and a sawn finish is acceptable. Unseasoned timber will shrink and move as it dries, so allow for straightening, checking and fixing restraint during installation. Select compatible treated-rated fixings and connectors, cut and seal exposed end-grain, and store flat with airflow prior to use.
