Merbau F27 solid DPR in 42 x 42mm is a kiln-dried structural merbau member with a dressed profile suited to exposed framing and feature applications where stability and finish are important. The F27 stress grade supports high-strength structural use, while kiln drying reduces movement compared with unseasoned timber. Merbau is a dense hardwood, so pre-drilling is recommended for screws and bolts to minimise splitting. Use compatible fixings to suit the exposure environment, seal any cut ends, and store dry and flat prior to installation to maintain moisture balance and straightness.
