Product overview
Mixed hardwood KD F27 is a kiln-dried structural hardwood member graded for high-strength applications where stability and more consistent moisture content are important. The F27 stress grade is specified for demanding load-bearing work in residential and commercial construction, and kiln drying helps reduce movement compared with unseasoned timber for more predictable straightness and set-out. Mixed hardwood is supplied with a durability classification dependent on species mix and intended exposure, and must be detailed and used in accordance with relevant standards. Use compatible fixings and connectors suited to the exposure environment, pre-drill for bolts and heavy fixings where required, seal any cut ends after trimming, and store dry, supported and flat prior to installation.
